Composer, Music Supervisor, Sound Designer
Born and raised in the hills of southern Ohio, Ty became interested in music at the early age of 5. His parents started him on lessons on guitar, and later on, clarinet, organ, and tenor sax as well. Ty started playing bass at the age of 13 in the school jazz band and furthered his formal education by majoring in jazz performance in college, Ty has performed in theme parks, on cruise ships, casinos, countless tours throughout the US, and since his move to Nashville in 1997, has worked not only with local and major artists bands, but also at the Ernest Tubb Theatre with Marty Stuart, Mel Tillis, Stonewall Jackson, JoAnne Cash (sister of Johnny), Reggie LaFaye, among many others while doing audio feeds for WSM and performing with some of the artists as well. Along with his many performance as a bassist, he also loves performing traditional hymns at his Church and is a member of one of the house bands at BB King’s in Nashville.
